About Rainier Executive Development
Coaching with clinical depth behind it.
Why We Coach
We spent years watching capable people struggle with the same pattern. They knew what mattered, they cared about doing it well, and they still could not find the structure or the candid outside voice to get there. Coaching is our answer to that, a disciplined partnership built on evidence and candor.
Your coach is a certified Physician Assistant with more than twenty years in medicine, practiced in emergency departments, remote frontier clinics, and large federal health programs, places where the stakes of performance and burnout are visible every single day. That background shapes how we coach. We pay attention to the whole person, because a career draws on your body and your relationships as much as your talent.
Evidence First
Every track we offer is grounded in published research: leadership and behavior-change science in the executive work, lifestyle medicine's six pillars in the performance work, and current sexual health research in the intimacy work. When the evidence is thin, we say so.
We also respect the line between coaching and clinical care. Your coach is trained to recognize when a concern needs a clinician or a therapist, and we refer without hesitation. You will always know which kind of help you are getting.
What the ICF credential requires →Who You Will Work With
We welcome people of every background and identity, and we provide affirming, respectful care to all clients.
Morgan Reed
Executive, Performance & Sexual Health Coaching
Morgan Reed brings more than twenty years of leadership experience in government and global health, and she has spent most of that career leading where conditions were hard. A certified Physician Assistant and a military veteran, she directed military medical operations in Afghanistan, provided medical leadership and built clinical protocols for remote research stations and frontier clinics in settings as isolated as Antarctica and Alaska, and coordinated emergency care across the Pacific islands during the COVID-19 pandemic. She knows what performance under pressure asks of a person, because she has carried it.
Today she serves as an internal executive coach for federal employees, where she coaches senior leaders and high-potential managers, conducts 360-degree feedback debriefs, and advises on business strategy and organizational change. She holds the Associate Certified Coach credential, the ACC, from the International Coaching Federation. That credential took 60 hours of coach-specific training, 100 hours of coaching with at least eight clients, 10 hours of mentor coaching, a recorded session scored against ICF's core competencies by an outside assessor, and a written exam on those competencies and the ethics code. It has to be renewed every three years.
Her academic grounding matches the field record. She holds a master's degree in organizational leadership with a focus in servant leadership from Gonzaga University, is currently a doctoral candidate in organizational psychology, and completed undergraduate training in the behavioral and health sciences before her Physician Assistant degree from the University of Washington. She has held certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for 15 years, along with licenses in multiple states. Her lifestyle medicine certification through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine is in progress, and that framework is the one behind our performance and wellbeing track.
For the sexual health and intimacy track, her sexuality coaching certification comes through the Sexual Health Alliance's AASECT-approved program, and she has completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
